In this article, Dr. Himanshu Rohela explained the difference between sarcoma and bone cancer. He shared; bone cancer is a type of cancer that starts specifically in the bones where abnormal cells grow wildly within the bones. Sarcoma, on the other hand, is a broader category of cancers that arise from connective tissues like bones, muscles, fat, and cartilage. So, bone cancer is actually a type of sarcoma—more precisely, an osteosarcoma when it originates in the bone.
